Support Educator for Daily Activities LSS – Business Groups and Business Placements

Do you want to work in a developing organization where participation, meaningfulness, and proximity to the labor market are at the center? We are now looking for an engaged support educator who wants to help create safe, developing, and inspiring contexts for individuals within LSS.

About the Assignment

Our goal is for each participant, based on their individual conditions and abilities, to be offered a safe, meaningful, and developing everyday life. Within daily activities, we work both in internal operations and in close collaboration with companies through business groups and business placements. This gives participants the opportunity to get as close to working life as possible based on their own goals and conditions.

As a support educator, you play a central role in ensuring quality, structure, and development in daily work. You work with a professional and low-affect approach and provide individually tailored support that strengthens participants' independence, participation, and sense of coherence.

In the role of support educator within business placements, you are also an ambassador for Uddevalla municipality's daily activities. You work independently in operations but have close support from your team remotely. The assignment places high demands on personal suitability, good collaboration skills, and the ability to build and maintain good relationships with the company's staff, who become your external partners in daily work.

Job Responsibilities

As a support educator, you will among other things:

• Provide individually tailored support in a safe and stimulating environment
• Support participants in contacts with residential groups, companies, relatives, and other networks
• Encourage and enable leisure activities and social participation
• Work with care, ADL, and delegated health and medical services
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses regarding aids and follow-up
• Be responsible for social and health documentation according to current regulations
• Establish, follow up, and quality assure implementation plans
• Be a role model in the organization and guide colleagues in pedagogical work

The work is characterized by collaboration, development, and a clear focus on the individual's goals – including support towards other business placements or education when possible.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in disability (at least 200 YH credits or 60 higher education credits)

Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
